xml format

Hi there,

I use Sibelius, I have over 200 lead sheets in jazz tunes some of them in your most requested list. I would be glad to share; I know how nice it is to find sheetmusic you've been looking for for a long time. How do I get them in a xml format?

Dolet

Hi Jozée,

when you use Sibelius, there is a solution in the form of a Sibelius plugin. Recordare has developed a plugin called Dolet. By installing this plugin, you can convert your lead sheets to the xml-format we support. After installing, you will find an item in your Plugins menu called MusicXML...

Good luck & thanks for posting your problem,
Benoit

Dolet plug-in

OK, same thing with me, jozeedevoua. I took a look at this Dolet plug-in, and it costs 125 USD to purchase. Kind of hard to participate in a "free" project if it costs this kind of money. A cheaper solution, anyone?

Upload sib / MuseScore

You might want to post your sib/fin files to upload [at] wikifonia .org together with your user name. We will try the best we can to put your files online asap and in your name.

A free alternative of Sibelius is MuseScore. Unfortunately it can't read sib/fin files. But it does export/import musicXML very well. So you can correct sheets and participate freely :). or input sheets from the ground. Visit : http://www.musescore.org for more information and download.
